dvd screen will not come up on the tv but the vcr will.
it is a combination dvd, vcr. one day it worked fine the next day i put a dvd in it will not come up on the tv at all.
there is no picture at all. i am the only one using it and i did nothing different. the dvd seem to be running but not coming up on the tv screen.
it is a ADV-3800 apexdigitial vcr and dvd player

I/P button at the top right of the remote solved the problem for us. Had this unit since '05, still works great!

That i/p button fixed mine, I had the same problem. What's the i/p button for!? ... other than making the video come back when it's gone away?

Although this is not a resolution, I also have had the same exact problem you are having just occure today on a Apex ADV-3750(Walmart's version of the ADV-3800). The video on the DVD side of the combo unit has gone completely blank. It still recognizes readable discs and will play them. I also can still hear the audio. It had an issue playing back a DVD where it was not still-framing, fast-forewarding, reversing properly. I stopped play, removed the disc and cleaned it, recycled power to the player and that's when it stopped showing a picture. I've no clue what happened or how to resolve it.
