lighting hit my tv what wrong with it?

Lighting came through our cable and hit are tv even though it was plugged into a surge protector. Why won't it turn on and what could be wrong with it? Its a phillips magnavox 36 inch screen

If ac fuse is blown ,check power supply diodes.
