How do you fix lava lamp spring?

So yesterday I finally found a lightbulb to work in my lava lamp and I was all excited to try my lava lamp again, but when I got the capsule thingy with the wax in it it was all shaken up and the coil of metal that was supposed to be on the bottom was floating sideways and it was all shrunk on one side so it was super tight on one side and super loose on the other. Any ideas how to fix this?thancks!(:

If you have tried letting it heat up according to the regular heating instructions and its still problematic , i can help you.
This is simple. Take a space heater, heating gun or Blow dryer to the globe and aim the heat at the area thats most conducive to melt the wax mass that the metal ring is stuck in. You can do this with the lamp on but obviously keep an eye on it AT ALL TIMES!! This may fix your problem. Following isanother tip to try if you cant access a portable heat source.
Before my 2nd and final pointer i wanna say , whatever you do , dont heat it up and then proceed to poke the wax in an effort to reposition it so the metal ring moves to the bottom. If you have taken the bottlecap/etc. off , you can try this mehod with a clean non-porous “poker” like device. If the lamp is cool enough to have solid wax, GENTLY AND HELLA CAREFULLY nudge the solid wax piece as close to desired position as possible and try turning on lamp.
These are my only two recomendations. Please dont blame me if these dont work just use common sense and GOOD LUCK !!
