You DEFINITELY need a Sat meter. No way around it.

if the equipment is working then its a simple as aiming it in the right direction.It must be spot on with the satellite otherwise no signal.the LNB might need twisting a few degrees depending on what area of the world your in.You can buy signal strength meters to help you if you really get stuck.Also make sure the receiver is set to correct setting for satellite you are pointing at
