replaceing washer in hot tap?

Hi there,if I just drain the hot tank to replace a washer,will I get air in tank when its refilled.many thanks.

You should be able to turn off the hot supply to the taps, look for a valve somewhere below the tank . If you put service valves on the pipes to your taps, this will make it easier to replace washers and taps in the future.
