How can I fix my Fisher Paykell Excellence 6.5 Smart DRive 9?

When I turn the machine on it starts to fill for a couple of seconds, stops, then starts again for a reduced time, stops for 3 or 4 times. Then it stops, beeping and lights 3,5,7&8 lit up.
I have left it off overnight and the same thing happens.

This seems to be as a result of having 1 heavy jumper which may have thrown the spin cycle off balance.

Can you please advise me how to fix this error.

Yes the microswitch should have an audible click. They gather corrosion and it makes it stick or makes a bad contact inside. As you said it is a fairly cheap part and would not hurt replacing it anyway.

Thanks for the hints, we took the top off and manually tripped the switch which has allowed the machine to startup at least in the short term. Will have to see how it goes from here. It seems to be a $6.00 part if we have to replace it :)

Thanks Lincoln for responding to my call for help, I found the plastic stick and it made minimul difference, still doing the same thing, just slightly prolonged the next fault message. I didn't hear or feel any click like I would have expected from a switch lever, is this correct.

Fault code 43 is out of balance switch fault. The switch is either stuck in the on position or is faulty & needs replacing. To see if it is just stuck put your hand between the top of bowl & the top deck on the right rear corner. You should feel a plastic stick hanging down. That is the lever which operates the out of balance switch. Gently pull it toward you then try machine again. If still the same then the main control module inside the panel needs to be removed to gain access to the switch for replacement.
