How do I take the top of my Roca cistern?

I need to take the top off my Roca cistern as one of the buttons sticks sometimes and won't return after flushing so the cistern doesn't fill. However, just tapping the button resets it and all seems OK, but is this just a problem waiting to happen?

you could spray it with wd40 , might just be sticking, to take the lid off, press the buttons down, and hold them down, now turn the big silver ring that next to the buttons on the lid, anti clockwise, it will screw out, that keeps the lid on ,
