Computer not recognizing external?

My computer is not recognizing my external hard drive. However, about 20 minutes ago it was fine. I transferred a few folders to it, and after that it disconnected on it's on. Now the computer isn't recognizing it. It's the SimpleTech 250gb pininfarina external hard drive. Please help!

Is the drive recognised if you connect it to another computer?

Connect your external drive normaly.
In the controll pannel, open System and sellect the "Material" tab.
Click the Periferals manager button.
Devlop the disks item. You should see your external drive there. Double-click it.
On the bottom of the general tab, it probably say: "Don't use (disabled)"

Change it to "Use..." and click OK.
