very common problem...you have 2 choices since your machine is scrap now anyway.....1) take it to a repair shop 2)...(my personal favourite!) ...take it to bits!....open it up carefully find the power socket,if the circuit board is broken its repair shop or bin,if the socket is broken,then its off to Maplin or ebay for a new one and solder it on.
