my hot bath tap will not turn properley, so the water is not coming out quick, any suggestions on what has caused this

A build up of calcium deposits I'd guess. Needs taking apart, cleaning out, then lubricating with silicon grease before reassemby. Mine have to be done every few years. You can get silicon grease from a plumbers' merchants. Expensive stuff but works well.
