Problem with my Glow-Worm Fuelsaver MKII?

Hello,

I really hope someone can help. I have an Glow-worm Fuelsaver MKII installed in a 30 year old property. I want to avoid replacing the system. It has been making pipe noise at the boiler that sound like clapping. It goes on and off all the time, but usually it makes noise for about 1-2 minutes. It resonates everywhere in the pipes in the house. Also, since this happened the main hotwater does not get hot anymore. The radiators do get hot, and they do work even if the heating button is not switched off. The water heating button seems to make the radiator heating system work. I don't get it. Please can you help.

Thanks in advance,

Stef

I have lots of noise when heating turns off that lasts 10 seconds (sounds like water hammer), my heating and water is fine though i have bleed system, added inhibitor and checked for loose pipes with no results, i have been advised to turn pump up to setting 3 , so will let you no results!

Sounds like your circulation pump may need replacing. The water may be staying in the boiler and boiling hence the noises.
