noisy hard rive?

hard drive make whizzing noise and then crashes

what does it mean when you turned your computer on and there's a clicking sound? It say on the monitor insert system disk and press enter. I did that and nothing worked.

I agree with what Gilly and James said. You hard has a certain amount of life, it is good to replace them every four years. (As it has been said)
I know i am only a teenager but i have a knownage of computers.
Also it good now because you can get Hard Drives cheap nowadays so go for a good GB one.

hello there. my son is a computer technician.spoke to him this morning regarding your question and he said that apparentely a hard drive only has a certain life. therefore it is showing the definate signs that it is now ready for replacing

Your hard drive is probably worn out. They don't last forever. If it does run for short periods without crashing and you can access your data, I would start to make backups of the files.
