HOW TO REPAIR A BAXI SOLO BOLIER?

I have a baxi solo2 40pf wall mounted boiler which ia about 12 years old. It is now making a loud whining noise which indicates there is air in the system. I am a complete novice to central heating systems and require how to fix this problem. Thank You in advance....

I had same problem 3 years ago and as for the first chaps answer it was the fan bearings. I wd40'd it and this helped for a while but eventually the fan failed. Easy replacement if you are handy with the tools and fan cost £70.
Have since had to change gas valve solenoid 12 months ago and and PCB yesterday but boiler is 10 years old.

I had a similar problem with my solo 2 pf, it turned out to be the fan---a little oil sprayed onto the bearings sorted it for a while--- only a temp fix---
