I can't seem to get this gizmo to work anymore; I used to just attach it to a USB port on my computer, and the computer would recognize it as an external drive, but now it does nothing.

What gives ?

i have 2 archos mobile dvr devices (AV400 and AV500)that may be different to what you have but i found that if i go into the setup screen on the devices, then into system, you can see an option for "USB Port".... I have mine set to hard drive so that I plug my archos into the PC and the i can just drag stuff onto it. If yours is set to anything else, such as, "windows device" instead of "hard drive" you CANT just drag stuff onto it!!!! the mp3s, videos etc have to be synchronized onto it through a program like windows media player. i may be wrong but this could be your problem.
