Why is my boiler leaking water from pressure switch on top?

Hi
I have a 17 year old ravenheat boiler and it has just this morning started leaking boiling water from the pressure switch on the top of the boiler. I have tried all day to get a plumber out but with no luck. My husband is quite handy so can anyone please advise?

Its most likely failed because thats what autobleeds do! No idea why you would need to pay attention to the pump?????

That is not a pressure switch, it's an automatic air vent, if it has started leaking boiling water, changing it is very simple, but invetigate the cause as to why it failed.
Pay particular attention to the pump.
