my samsung r20 laptop cdrom is not working,an error message comes up windows cannot load the device driverfor this hardware,the driver may be corruptedor missing ,error code 39.
cd rom is faulty...i had same problem with cd rom drive on a dell laptop...this is a common problem with these..cause..... is ribbon cable becomes crimped or nipped,with wear ...new cd rom required...you will find a cheap replacement on ebay...most cd roms are of same design.and are very easy to replace yourself

depends on operating system,
From start menu rht click on Computer/My computer properties/device manager, locate your device double click, driver tab update driver, you should of received a disk with the laptop, with the drivers on
