My Sony CRT tv tube is blown - there is sound but no picture?

When i switch it on it has sound and a flat thin line on the middle of the picture. Can it be fixed?

do not run the tv like this for too long, it will burn the line on the screen. the problem is in the vertial circuit, should not be too costly unless the yolk is bad. i suspect the tube is good because you still see a line. check for bad solder connections in the vertical circuit, if none found it may have bad parts in the vertical circuit, parts are typicall not to expensive in the circuit.

Yes and very easily.
Your tube is OK, you simply have frame collapse - which is a very common (probably the most common TV fault).
It should be a simple and relatively inexpensive repair.
