We had problems with an FX9 and it seemed the cost of repairs would come to more than the camera was worth.
In the end I removed and discarded the front half where the software/computer stuff is and screwed the back half to the front of another FX9 that had a broken screen.
At least I have one working out of two that weren't before and didn't part with any cash. Instead of the camera being all one colour it is now two; very modern.
