I have contacted fischer and paykel about my washing machine(excellence smart drive 6.5) leaving streaks of lint on my washing. They suggested everything..too much washing powder, not enough, liquid detergent, overloading, wrong setting..I have tried everything but still have this problem. Whenever I use someone elses machine I am amazed at how lovely the clothes come out compared to my machine. I have to get a wet cloth and rub the lint residue off and it becomes very frustrating. please helppppp

F&P washers don't usually have a lint problem. So I'm a lil concerned that you may have some old material wedged in the outer tank somewhere which is gradually disintergrating.
Get a handyman to take a look at it as it is the easiest washer on the market to dismantle. Nothing more than a philips head screwdriver.
Remove the adgitator cap amd look inside. There is a big wingnut at the bottom. Unscrew it and remove the agitator. Nothing wrapped around the spindle??
