hotpoint first edition wm52p washing machine?

fitted new heating element but still not heating water, there are 2 water inlet valves but both are cold water feeds to the machine, would that be a problem.

did you check the old element to see if its faulty? if its faulty fair enough but if its still not heating assuming its getting enough of water you will have to establish if its getting an ac supply during the heating stage, you will need a meter to check, if no supply you will have to check the leads for breaks in circuit back to timer . if everything checks ok it would suggest fault in timer

two hose conections would suggest hot/cold fill.take a look below the conections for a H and a C stamped onto the back panel. Its unusual for both to be cold fills.Although it won't harm the machine for both to be plumbed to a cold supply.
