how can I fix my eiki 7070 cd/cassette player?

MY WIFE RUNS A LANGUAGE LAB AT A COMMUNITY COLLEGE. SEVERAL CD/CASSETTE PLAYERS HAVE LOST POWER. iS THERE A RESET BUTTON? iF THERE IS ELECTRICITY TO THE MACHINE, WHY DOESN'T THE MACHINE WORK? ANY ADVICE YOU CAN GIVE WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. cOULD IT BE A TRANSFORMER, A RESISTER?

there are 3 buttons in the middle tone balance volume.
under these buttons there is a board that they are mounted to, under that board is a fuse and it is probably open

it's likely there is an open winding at the transformer (cause: power surge) or the rectifier is blown. if you aren't experienced in electronics, there is little you will be able to do. get the unit (s) to a technician.
Tip: if portable units, check that there is no Batt/mains selector switch which is set wrongly. Also if it is a language lab check the master console connection is set up correctly (and hence outputting the correct voltage to the student booths in question - many old tandberg labs had a fuse in the console for each booth).
