How long since the last time you logged in? If it's more than 3 months, that account no longer exist.
If that's the case, you need to create a new account. It don't need to be a new hotmail account.
You only need to sellect a web mail provider and follow the instructions to create your new account.
Do a search with "webmail" as search term. You'll get several providers.
