Zanussi Jet system washing machine?

The machine is displaying E40 error code. Does not finish cycle, it is now filling with water then draining.
It is a IZ 16 S Zanussi washing machine.

E40 is a door lock issue However they can cause damage to the main pcb when they fail.Also check wiring to the door lock connector
