stiching clogging?

why is my stiching getting clogged under the cloth and not running smooth

hi julie,me again. if you google a e and r classic sewing machine,there is a person that had the same problem and some one suggest you make sure press foot is up when threading.also some photos to show different problems.hope it help a little,some time diffucult for techno to pin point fault if you cant see actual problem.good luck

when testing tension use different color thread as to determine top or bottom tension at fault,clogging at bottom normally suggest bottom tension but also work with top tension.tecnicians normally look at the way the thread is pulled thru material to adjust top or bottom tension.if tension is correct the fault may be feed or hook timing.will google machine to find better soiution for you
