My indesit wia111 washing machine is beginning the daily wash then stops half way through leaving if half ful of water not spinning or draining with the red lock light on and the wash and spin light flashing. Can anyone help????

Found a pound stuck pump seems to be going round fine now gonna wait for the spin cycle to finish then going to try a wash thank you for your help much appriciated:)

if the machine has water in it and doesn't drain,then you will have to drain it yourself.

you can drain the water by lowering the outlet pipe into a bowl,or remove the filter at the front,

I suggest you drain from the drain hose on the rear of the machine.

once the water has drained from the drum you should be able to open the door,.

Investigate why the machine isn't draining,

remove the filter and clean out any debris,put the machine on SPIN ONLY and shine a torch into the filter housing and see if you can see the drain pump running,

if it isn't stop the machine and pull the power plug,

use a long screw driver and see if you can rotate the pumps impeller,
something maybe jamming it, or worse, the pump may have faild.
