washing powder residue?

hi,our ariston a1636 is about 5 years old and up to now been trouble free.in the last few weeks when we have taken clothes out after washing they have what looks like powder residue on them,as if they haven,t been rinsed properly.can you tell me if there is a filter in the machine somewhere?thinking this maybe blocked.have checked the outlet pipe and made sure it is not too far down inside the drain pipe.thanks.

hi,thanks for the reply.cleaned out the detergent dispenser and also cleaned the out the drain duct.washing is now clean again.thanks for the advice,much appreciated.

There is no mention of a filter in the manual.

The detergent dispenser should be taken out and washed clean regularly, have you done this?

If the drain duct gets clogged then that can cause inadequate draining. The drain duct is where your outlet hose fits into, and should be between 65 and 100cm from the floor.
