polti 2400 no steam is coming out- nothing is happening?

I have a red polti 2400 which is approx 3 years old,i followed the usual routine filled it with water switched it on pressed both buttons which were lit, the pressure guage went to red so it was ready! All that happened then was a sort of click noise as if the steam was going to come out but nothing did, checked that the attachment was inserted correctly tried again and nothing. Has this happened to anyone else, is this problem fixable?

I have just had mine repaired after having the same problem. The solenoid valve blocked with scale. Phone 01249 813835 they will arrange for repair. Cost me £72 but cheaper than a new machine

Hi, yes i did get mine fixed by polti, it was some kind of valve that had gone, works fine now. Think it cost me about £75.00! They come and collect it from you-free of charge- have a look and do an assesment of how much it will cost to repair, they then ring you up and ask if you want it repaired or not and once again free of charge send it back, so quite a good service really. I just had a look on the polti web site and sent them an email- they called me- hope this helps ! Happy steaming!
