My chiming Smith Mantle clock seems to chime 2 hours behind.
For example if it was 3 o'clock it would chime 1 o'clock

What can I do to put it right?

this is a easy fix
(the hr hand finger has slipped)
allow the clock to strike the hours, count them, then just gently turn the HOUR hand to the number of strikes the clock has done
if finger drops off gently push it back onto center spindle its a friction fit
