i think you have a airlock in the hot water pipes, if you a mixer tap in the kitchen sink, try this ,, turn on the hot tap all the way, next put the plam of your hand up tight to the outlet of the (mixer) tap, now turn on the cold tap, what your trying to do is ,, send the cold water back up into the empty hot water tap,and refill the hot water pipes,when the cold water gets to the airlock, it will burst it, and the hot water will run again in all taps, it might take 2 to 3 mins to reach the airlock, so have some towels read , as the cold water will spray a lot if you dont have your hand up tight at the tap, you can try this on the bathroom tap if you want, if you have two taps on the bathroom sink, get a short bit if hose and put one end into the cold tap and the other into the hot, open the hot and turn on the cold, its the same idea as the mixer tap,
