Hi,whilst tv engineer was fixing my tv on very warm day he went to move tv back into position and his head brushed up against screen.Didn't pay much attention to it at time,but days later as I was watching tv I noticed quite a long smear on the screen.I have tried cleaning kit from Ebay but doesn't seem to have solved the problem.Any ideas would be very welcome.

Have you tried the branded furniture polishes.Use the clean and dust versions . I often use them on my lcd screen.Don't be fooled into thinking that you must buy these so called lcd screen wipes,all i can say is they are usless. I have even used a waterless car wax on mine,no problem,as good as new. Trust me it works a treat.Good Luck!

Call the sweaty pig back in, I used to always finish off giving the screen a clean. Difficult with lcd's but basically a plastic, I hear, a very mild detergent should work, BUT test on small area in corner 1st. Do not use a wet cloth etc squeeze out very well 1st. Another is spectacle cleaner, Again, a drop on a cloth is more than enough
