There is in most of the cases problem with solenoid valves and scale. Solution is to remove the valves from machine, and put them together with spring in vinegar for 5-10 minutes. it is not so hard to remove them. You need to disassemble plastic part before you put them in vinegar. Most of them are full with scale and need to be cleaned up. I had the same problem and after descaling ESAM3500 works as new.
