my samsung dvd player stalls and skips how do i fix this?

have a samsung dvd/vcr player and the dvd's while playing stall or skip, even new dvd's. do you have any suggestions on how to fix this?

The DVD's optical lens may be dirty. Try a using a DVD disc cleaner. If the disc cleaner doesn't fix the problem, you will need to get the DVD unit serviced.
