six flashing lights?

My Diplomat ADP8352 integrated dishwasher was installed last week. I did as the instruction booklet said and filled the required amount of salt set the programme everything was fine after the programe had finished 6 bleeps and the light went out. A few days later I set the dishwasher programme to do a normal wash this time after the programme had finished there were no bleeps and after about 20 minutes I opened the door and all the six programme lights were flashing and there was a bleeping sound. I cancelled the programme and turned off the machine. The instruction booklet is not very helpful it just says phone an engineer. I have read some of the questions asked previously and someone mentioned about removing the black cover at the front of the machine, I have found the cover but I am not sure how to remove it. Is this what I have to do and then check for water or is there something else I can do.

Not got six lights, power light is on, but nothing else works. Was OK last night. Bottom of machine behind cover is dry. Microswitch seems to work. Have tried powering off, emptying sump from inside and also drain pipe. Nowt. Looks like I have a dodgy machine also. Been in about two years.

I FOLLOWED JOHN TURNERS INSTRUCTIONS AND IT WORKED FOR ME. I HAD 3 FLASHING LIGHTS AND BLEEPING (MOST ANNOYING) SURELY THIS IS A DESIGN FAULT AS I DONT THINK I SHOULD BE CARRYING OUT THIS KIND OF WORK ON A 4 WEEK OLD MACHINE AND WILL MORE THAN LIKELY HAVE TO AGAIN! I THINK I'LL TRY AND RETURN THE DISHWASHER AND GET 1 THAT WORKS WITHOUT HAVING TO MESS ABOUT WITH IT.

We moved into a house recently and had the joy of a diplomat adp8352 for a few weeks. Then it failed, 3 flashing leds on the display. Through sites like this found that the flood protection prevented it going into cycle. Took machine out and emptied bottom tray (dried). Later found that the large black pipes going onto heater (left side of dishwasher had both come loose and hence leaked. Manufacturer (chinese) use sqweeze clips which obviously expand when heated. Replaced with jubilee clips and now no leaks. Obviously try and repair all leaks prior to task of refitting. Use absolute cation as water and electricity is a killer. If not sure get a proffesional.

Flashing lights can mean a multitude of things. Our dishwasher had three flashing lights on the left of the programme options. I was assisted by an engineer who described the fault as a water rinse fault. It is caused by using full tablets which apparently produce too much foam which in turn trips a safety sensor. To correct the problem turn off at the mains and release the small rectangular panel at the base of the unit (behind the plinth). Feel arounf the bottom of this cavity and you should feel water, this water needs to be removed with either a sponge or other absorbent material. This will allow the safety switch to reset. Switch the power back on and everything should be OK.
