my samsung d500 will switch and stuff but none of the buttons will work exsept the on and off button and sliding up and still locks the key pad but the buttons just won't work.

you have many cheaks you will need to make

1: see if the side switches are not pressing against the board you have to open the phone up the only way to tell not by pressing. (hapens when phone falls down)
your ribbon is faulty it is the strip that connects the main board with the second board.
your handset is liquid damaged
or your phone has had a haaaard knok!!!
