Most things now days do need a remote. Cost for Argos remotes are usually about £13 from ebay. You will need a remote that is compatible with your TV.
You state that you have tried everything. If you have tried everything then there is nothing else to try. Oops! That means that you have bought every possible remote from all suppliers and none of them work. How much did that cost?
You have given far too little information for anyone to be very helpful. If you cannot be bothered why should anyone else? If you had given details about which Alba model you had tried or everything you had tried then perhaps things would have been different.
If you wanted a more detailed response then you would have include the model in the title and in the question.
