My microphoto zen 8gb won't turn on completely?

My zen turned off all of a sudden and when i tried to turn it back on only the main CREATIVE sign comes up when i plug it to the usb connection on the computer. It acts as if it is charging but when i left it to charge completely i disconnected it from the usb and tried turning it on and the CREATIVE sign came on again and started making like a funny squeeky noise. Whats wrong with it??? how can i fix this problem?? i got it about 10 months ago
