Why is my hot water working but not my heating?

I have a valliant ecomax 824/2e the hot water is working fine but i have no heating!! Timer is working fine from what i can tell and so is the room thermostat, any ideas would be much appreciated.

I have had similar problem - in my case it was a faulty motorised valve.needed a callout I'm afriad.
