The Christmas tree lights were on and I plugged the vaccum in the same light socket and it tripped the Christmas Tree lights. So far, the tree lights don't work. what do I do?

sd,there is no such thing as a light socket,they are either batton holders,or light pendants

Its gods way of telling you you have put the lights on far to early.lol
are they the old style bulb lights?.If so one is a fused bulb and the surge from plugging vacuum in may of popped it.replace fused bulb and hopefully they might live to see another day.Failing that poundland do them.Merry Xmas

1st, you should NOT be plugging into a light socket.
Vacuum should be plugged into a main 13 amp socket.
SO what have you done? explain more.
