How can I fix the earphone jack. When I plug in the earphones all the way, music only comes through one earphone, please help. My ipod is made by apple, its an ipod shuffle, 512 MB, 1st generation
If you are a DIY enthusiast you can fix it by checking the soldering at the three points where the female headphone jack receptacle is soldered to the circuit board. I am sure one of the leads (the left or the right channel and not the common ground lead) has come loose after repeated insertion and removal of the headphone jack. This happened to my iPod shuffle 20GB and I fixed it by doing some fine soldering to the leads. Hope this solves it :)
