When setting the machine to wash on a cycle which allows 1600 spin speed, at some stage during the cycle the machine sets the spin speed back down to 600 by itself. Had this for 2 years and problem only just started happening.
Hotpoint engineer replaced motor and motherboard but problem still persist. Next option is to replace control panel and wiring loom, unless there is an easier solution .
set it for rinse and spin with no clothes in it and observe, it it doesnt drop its spin speed it may be picking up out of balance sensing when loaded due to small/unbalanced load or machine not seated firmly on floor

Would of thought control panel 1st option, not going to be motor or controller if the display changes.
