Transformer?

I have just fitted a new transformer but after a period of time the lights fade is there a reason why?

also check that there is no insolation covring the transformer as this will cause it to over heat its better to fit a transformer a bit over what you need,i.e if you fit 3 20 watt bulbs, that would norm be a 60 trans former, but i would reconmend a 150 watt transformer, becaue i have found lots of folk just go buy a buld and not ask for the wattage

Transformer rating (watts output) unsufficient for the wattage rating of the bulbs.
eg. If you have 3x20 watt halogen bulbs then the transformer should not be less than 60 watts
