My new panasonic DMR10 switches itself to 'extlink' [external link option used to accept cam recorders etc] by itself when left off after a day or so.
Also I noted that it stopped recording from the TV when not even touched. The TV was left blank and not showing any pictures and was on ext 1.
I have brand new batteries in the hand set too.

this is fixed via a firmware update via pansonic sending you a CD. It should be available on their www site but it isnt. Ask Panasonic AV department for the update. DONT ask their customer services department in the uk as they are clueless and will tell you to see an engineer.
