hello, we have got a stannah 260 model, when on charging contact , the charge light flickers and beeps, we have put new batteries in as the stairlift wouldnt go up, Now does with new batteries, also when stairlift travels up or down , it beeps all the way up and down,
could any 1 help, or might know whats wrong, Stannah wants £145.00 call-out, thank you in advanced

Hi paul, I have the same problem. The brass plunger was fixed, now you can move and screw it. So the lift stops at the plastic triangle 20 cm before charge-end-point. What is the function of these white plastic triangles. I removes them and now the lift is working. The brass plunger presses a switch which stops the lift.

hi dennis..........a common cause on the 260 model is the red wire breaking to the eyelet on the other end of the brass plunger ,which picks up the charge when it hits the charge points,to access this you will have to remove the bottom covers to crimp a new eyelet to the red wire..[take note when tightening the nut that will hold the new eyelet back onto plunger not to over tighten it as this will cause more problems.........any problems let me know......paul..portsmouth/uk
