kitchen aid 550 professional burned up motor?

I received as gift a Kitchenaid Mixer from canada. it works 110 volt and unfortunately has been used on 220!!! Itis possible to repalce the motor or fix it.

It is possible to fix. I can only help you with parts for a 110V unfortunatley we do not have access to the 220 volt electical items.

90% of the time when these mixers get plugged into a 220V outlet it will damage the speed control board, not the motor. I would take the mixer apart, and inspect the speed control board for burn marks, or melted pieces.

Here is a link to the speed control board: http://www.mendingshed.com/6qtspeed2.html

And if that doesn't work then you may need to replace the motor. Here is a link to the motor for your mixer. http://www.mendingshed.com/8204562.html
