2 battery and 1 pendulam one hand is sturdy the other just swings freely. a?

i have 2 battery and 1 pendulum clock where 1 hand moves correctly and 1 hand just circles in a loose non connected mode

The loose hand is probably the hour hand and it is held on by friction. Just move your minute hand until it points to the 12 and then point the smaller hand, hour hand, to 6 and press it at its base toward the face. This should tighten it up. Set the time by only moving the minute hand.
