I have a smart drive 085 washing machine that wont work properly, when the machine fills with water it fills in spurts then stops, wont agitate and when draining, it drains til almost empty then does it in spurts

That is error code 136 which is signalled when the motor cannot start. This can be caused by clothing caught under the inner bowl, seized bearings, broken wire down to motor, faulty motor, faulty control module. The only ones you can check are the first two. Turn power off at wall and try turning the inner bowl by hand. If all is ok then it should be nice & easy to turn. If that test is ok then you will need a technician to check the motor etc.

hi thanks for helping out. yes it beeps continuosly and number 1 and number 5 lights are on the rest are off then when i press pause the spin light comes on.

Does it start beeping? If so what error code is showing at that moment? While it is beeping, look at the 8 lights along the top row. Count from left to right and tell me what number lights are on and which are off.
