to let you understand mate ,most microwave ovens have a minimum of 3 micro switches, one turn the light on when you open the door, the other two open circuits the high voltage system and control system so its imposible for the oven to start up with the door open ,so,no fried eye balls !don't know where you get your ideas from mate

peccavi you are a constant source of amusement to me your lack of knowlage in this field is brill keep it up mate cooking his eye balls?

if your oven is more than 3 years old its not worth repairing the cost of a mag plus labour you be cheaper buying new unit ,that's if its just the mag that's gone, could be the cap or the trannie,in other words it needs checked by a pro before you waste your money

The more you look into it the more you risk literally cooking your eyeballs.

Lord Finchley tried to mend his microwave
Himself. It fried his eyes: And serve him right!
It is the business of the wealthy man
To give employment to the artisan.

If you have to ask then you shouldn't be attempting to repair a microwave oven. It runs on thousands of volts and can store that power and still kill you even after it is unplugged from the wall. Leave it to an experienced repair shop.

It's safe if done correctly.Done incorrectly could leave you dead.Unless its a very expensive micro buy a new one
