My Hotpoint is banging badly during high spin?

I suspect that a mounting may have broken or come loose but I canot even detach the top panel. Any tricks?

could be a loose weight or loose shock absorber.....i doubt that it is the bearing but check this video out for a general explanation of washing machine strip-down on utube......"How to replace washing machine bearings" .......... good luck
