I put a disc in and the display stated "Bad Disc", I tried ejecting it and re inserting it. Now the display appears frozen and the disck will not eject. I have tried unplugging it and starting it over, but nothing works.

you need to unplug the power from the outlet then, you have to open the cover so you can free the disc. sometimes the disc gets caught in an improper position during loading. that's why the tray won't come out. just try to push the disc in the right position & push the tray out to get the disc back. this happens to me a few times.
