extractor fan pull switch?

: How do I replace an extractor fan switch with a pull-cord?
Your answer: I have taken off my pull switch for my extractor fan in my end suite. I have two cables each containing red, black, and earth. What do I need to buy and how do I wire it up?

if fan is independent then the second red is a perm live, the other two must be switched live,is it a timer fan?

Fan is independent but don't understand why there are two cables. Only one red is live. Previous switch was neon but not fussed about having neon

you need to run a cable to your light fitting from your fan so when the light is turned on the fan comes on
